On August 15, 2005, MICT invited representatives from 22 Iraqi radio stations to a conference in Amman, Jordan. At the conference, directors of stations and other representatives of radio broadcasters networked, discussed ways of cooperating in the future and talked about the challenges of working in radio in Iraq.

As a result of the conference, all 22 radio stations agreed to form a cooperative network, the Radio Reports Network (RRN) and to sign a Professional Code of Ethics that bound them to independent and professional journalism.
