Fresh off the Press for the Sudans
Around 50 million people live in Sudan and South Sudan. What awaits them in the future? Is it really as the Nuer proverb suggests, that no one knows what tomorrow brings? The new issue of The Niles portrays people from both countries through all stages of life and briefly touches upon what it means to be Sudanese or South Sudanese.

In 2014, The Niles print series was displayed at the prestigious German media prize, LEAD awards, held in Hamburg and received an honourable mention. Articles by The Niles have been featured by The Guardian’s Africa Network and other leading international media. The project is funded by the German Foreign Office.
