Explore Sri Lanka with the Catamaran.org
The Catamaran.org was designed to improve dialogue between Tamil and Sinhalese media and civil society organisations and to promote mutual understanding and reconciliation between ethnic communities, contributing to the development and consolidation of democracy, the rule of law and respect for fundamental rights and freedoms in Sri Lanka.

MiCT trains Tamil and Sinhalese journalists and civil society workers, assists them in establishing a sustainable professional reporting network in Sri Lanka, and ensures the production, publication and distribution of conflict-sensitive stories for a national and international readership. The Catamaran sails with support from the EU’s European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights, or EIDHR, and by Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, or BMZ. Local Partners are the Press Complaints Commission of Sri Lanka in Colombo and the Media Resources and Training Centre in Jaffna.
